I wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is completely private and wonderfully secluded! The owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and everything was just right when there was a minor hiccup with the sink. The cottage is nestled at the base of a hill (mountain?), with a brook right in the back. I would imagine on warm nights, the sound of the brook is amazingly soothing (it was too cold on our visit to leave windows and doors open!). You can also trek up the hill and star gaze in two chairs halfway up. The kitchen is nicely apportioned. It is the perfect little home away from home! The upstairs is a little difficult to get up and down (especially in the middle of the night when you have to pee!), but they also provide a pull out sofa downstairs for those that need it.

Great little house on a beautiful pond!

The cabin was very well appointed and the view from the front enclosed porch was spectacular. It was too chilly to enjoy taking the kayaks out on the pond, but it was great that they were available. We loved using the pellet stove and having a nice comfortable place to come back to after leaf-peeping and exploring southern Vermont. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a vacation rental in the area.

fantastic views

Just got back from a very restful vacation. Loved the canoe and kayaking with the kids. The house has a full kitchen which saved us money on eating out. We played lots of board games and spent lots of time at the "beach" two lots down and walking the dog around the neighborhood. The house is rustic and the spiral staircase made us a bit nervous. There is no wifi and the TV is very small with limited channels, but we weren't looking for luxury. We actually watched some kid movies on video tapes which my kids had never seen before. We enjoyed the sound of birds, frogs and a daily visit from a family of ducks. Great place for a quiet get away.
