Very Inviting Home!

5 of 5
We enjoyed a girl’s getaway last weekend at this very inviting and comfortable home. As there were six of us, two slept in the LR, one on the couch and one on an air mattress that was provided. They were both very comfortable and did not affect our stay in any way. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and attention to detail that was taken for guests to enjoy their stay. The grounds are very well kept and we would have liked to try out the firepit, but unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. There was plenty of local retail therapy! Basketville, Kringle Candle, Brattleboro Outlet Center, and the Grafton Village Cheese Store to name a few. For dining, we had dinner at The Marina, breakfasts at The Grille and Delightfully Delicious, and lunches at The Farm Table in Bernardston, MA, and The Village Restaurant in Shelburne Falls, MA. All are recommended! The owner and caretaker were very friendly and accommodating and we would highly recommend this wonderful home.

Majestic Weekend Wedding

5 of 5
The pictured of this home do no justice of the beauty and magic that surrounds this place. It made the most importaint weekend of my life, the best weekend of my life. The rain stopped us from having our wedding outdoors and enjoy this amazing landscape, but the house more than made up for the setback, allowing us to have our dream weekend wedding. We already plan on returning for our anniversary, of possible when the time comes. Thanks for a very happy bride.

Pretty much as expected.

4 of 5
Our host, Dave, was very accommodating. We never met Julia. We had several minor issues. The first night and the next morning there were many insects inside the house. It turns out that the bathroom window was open and didn't have a screen. Also regarding the bathroom, the lighting is poor, the window is over the sink and the mirror is over the toilet. We managed to work around this. I would suggest a florescent light be installed on the side of the cabinet or ceiling. The mirror, I don't know, perhaps put it on a piano hinge so it can be swung around and be used with the sink. I think a microwave is a necessity, a TV would be good and a landline phone is important because cel phone reception is so poor. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. The interstate was a couple of minutes away. We were actually visiting friends and relatives in Connecticut. We were able to get down to Hartford in less than 75 mins. There is a great Deli right down the street which we strongly recommend. We would recommend this rental as long as everyone is aware it's lacking in some amenities.
