wonderful place for relaxing in summer

                      5 of 5
My husband and I and our two big dogs just finished a week here at Spring Hill Farm and we will definitely be back. Nick, the owner, was responsive and easy to deal with, and Mimi, the caretaker, was also totally accomodating. The house is big - plenty of room to spread out. Furnishings are comfortable, which is great for a rental (we've been in some houses where the couches just make you ache), although they have been well-used. This is not a designer house; this is where you go to relax. There are plenty of windows so the house is bright and cheerful. Kitchen was well-equipped; appliances all in good repair, pots and pans well-worn but good enough. We only used one of the seven bedrooms but the mattress was terrific, again, a plus for a rental house. The property is just wonderful; the areas around the house are kept mowed, but there are just the perfect number of maple trees to provide shade and a lovely appearance. The largest pond is GREAT for swimming; the little 'beach' area means there's no farm pond mud to wade through! Wooded areas around the place mean there is complete privacy. We made use of the sauna several times during our stay - it's a real plus. The house is easy to get to without being on a busy road. We found the nearby IGA to be very well-stocked, and there are options for going out to eat in all directions. Beer aficionados take note: there is a wonderful beer store just a few minutes away. Manchester and it's outlets are a short hop away, as are wonderful hiking trails. If you're looking for granite countertops and Viking ranges, this is not the place. If you and your dogs like running in & out without a care, then definitely try this house. oh - and the pool table - it rained one day and we spent a good while being laughably bad at pool. Who'd have thought it would come in so handy?

                      Comfortable, Relaxing, Clean

                      5 of 5
This is a very well maintained, very clean house that served as a comfortable launching pad for my wife and our two young children. We especially enjoyed the sun room off the kitchen, where we could all sprawl out and read under the ceiling fan after days of hiking and biking. Here are some features that pleasantly surprised us: the Bose surround sound system in the entertainment room, along with the 100+ DVDs, and dozen board games; the large jacuzzi tub; the wonderfully comfortable mattresses; a charming little park less than ten minutes' walk away that has a pond, a playground and many butterflies; the many, many children's toys and games. The style here is decidedly comfortable -- you can literally kick your feet up on the deck and listen to the stream going by (you could do this in the hammock as well, for that matter). We decided to stay one more night and found the owner quite responsive and helpful.

                      Home away from home

                      5 of 5
I have stayed at this property in both the summer and winter. Both were equally wonderful. All the modern amenities you have at your own home and so much space to spread out. It's a great mountain property with lots of privacy. Close to the mountains and shopping. I hope to be able to stay here again.
