Great Location ! Brand new kitchen and living room

5 of 5
We stayed at this property for the 2014 Memorial Day weekend and really enjoyed it. Quiet bay location, easy access for canoes and kayaks and a dock with a ladder to sunbathe and swim from ! Good privacy from neighbors. This is also a great location to be based for cycling throughout the Champlain Islands. The kitchen and living room are brand new including all new kitchen appliances and BBQ grill. Plenty of cooking equipment and utensils. Great views and sunsets from either inside, out on the deck or on the lawn. If you stay here, make sure to book a reservation for dinner at the Blue Paddle Bistro only a mile away for a great meal ! WiFi and cable TV worked great. My wife and I are planning on going back for a week later this summer.

Perfect Place To Stay

5 of 5
We rented this property to attend our son's College graduation in Colchester. It was an easy commute. The accommodations were all on one level, and was perfect for our group which included elderly parents. There were separate bedrooms for all in our party and plenty of bathrooms for the group to get ready at the same time. We had the perfect setting to hold a small gathering after the ceremony. The view was fabulous and we made good use of the deck and yard. The house was very clean, and had a lot of extras like Fiji bottled water, snacks and hot beverages. The Wi-Fi was very easy to connect to and we did not have any issues with internet speed. Overall this was a fantastic place to stay and will not hesitate to check availability when we are in the area again.

Cozy secluded cottage with amazing view

5 of 5
My husband and I loved it here! Every summer, we look for dog-friendly cottage rentals in New England and decided to stay near Burlington. This cottage is secluded and very private (even though the owners' house is close by, you'd never know it and it's very quiet). To be at the end of a dead and surrounded by fields, woods, and lake is something I only thought I'd find off the grid near the Canadian border, but you're only 25 minutes to downtown and about the same distance to a supermarket. We enjoyed kayaking around the lake, walking in the woods with our dog, and enjoying the moon over the lake while playing Scrabble inside. Our dog worked hard at his goal of catching a chipmunk or squirrel but settled for fetching a ball in the water and chasing us in the kayaks. I also enjoyed waking up to take photos of the sunrise over the mountains across the lake. The upper and lower deck and beach offer incredible views of the lake. Definitely bring water shoes—the shoreline in most of Lake Champlain is mainly slate and can be difficult to walk on. While you're there, visit Snow Farm Winery just up the street. The wine is great and as an added bonus it's across the street from a field of sunflowers! I also recommend going for a walk on a path at the end of South Street (just up Rte 2 on the left). The path actually goes out over Lake Champlain and there's a ferry that takes you across where a bridge washed out a few years ago. The view from Downtown Burlington is beautiful and there are a couple great farmers' markets during the week. Our idea of vacation is going to markets, getting edible things, and grilling them while sitting on a deck. We also loved Maglianero Cafe, especially since it's dog friendly and our dog could hang out with us inside!
