Accurate description, excellent location

5 of 5
Excellent stay, and of course the Vermont color is always first class. The owner was a most courteous host and gave us a personal tour of the entire property. Would definitely recommend this location to others. The Dam DIner was a real treat.

Outstanding property and host!

Lucas's house is super clean, warm and inviting. The panoramic views of Lake Champlain (through the 8+ windows on the back side of the house) are absolutely breathtaking. The local general store serves fantastic breakfast, salads and sandwhiches. Lucas is the consummate host --- responsive, helpful and trustworthy. We definitely hope to come back one day for another get-a-way at this outstanding home!

I wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is completely private and wonderfully secluded! The owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and everything was just right when there was a minor hiccup with the sink. The cottage is nestled at the base of a hill (mountain?), with a brook right in the back. I would imagine on warm nights, the sound of the brook is amazingly soothing (it was too cold on our visit to leave windows and doors open!). You can also trek up the hill and star gaze in two chairs halfway up. The kitchen is nicely apportioned. It is the perfect little home away from home! The upstairs is a little difficult to get up and down (especially in the middle of the night when you have to pee!), but they also provide a pull out sofa downstairs for those that need it.
