Amazing Place to Relax

5 of 5
We have been staying at this home for the last 7 years and have found the home warm, comfortable and very well stocked. You come into the home with only your belongings without having to cart towels and sheets. Great place to relax after a long day skiing, with the fireplace and the hot tub. The gourmet kitchen is wonderfully stocked with everything needed to make a meal after a long day of skiing. Restaurants close by if that is what you want, try the Sugar and Spice good for breakfast and lunch or Olympic Pizza for lunch or dinner. You have the Norman Rockwell museum just down the street for something else to see. Many little gift shops located near by. Markets and shopping within 20 minute drive.

Island Pond Gem!!!

5 of 5
Everything was perfect. From the grounds, the house and the owners. you could not ask for a better place to rent. T he house had everything you needed and was in excellent condition. The grounds had plenty of room for my dog to run around in without bothering the neighbors. And the owner Mark was very accommodating. It is certainly a place I will rebook in the future.

Lovely and comfortable cottage in the woods

5 of 5
Our family had a great week in late July and early August staying in this lovely cottage set in woods near Stowe. Apparently originally built as a two-bedroom home, it was doubled in size to add a master suite with stain-glass windows, fireplace and jacuzzi, a parlor/sunroom, a laundry room, etc. The kitchen is all new but the feel with slate floors and fireplace is rustic and cozy. The back yard is set up for a barbeque and picnic. The town of Stowe is charming with good restaurants and markets. We found a lot to do nearby including two remarkable waterfalls with pools for swimming (Brighton Falls off of Route 108 and another two miles north of Stowe off of Route 100); hiking to Sterling Pond from Smugglers’ Notch; biking along the trail that straddles Route 108; poking around craft shops, cafes, and clothes stores; the obligatory Ben and Jerry’s tour; and it only took about 40 minutes to get to Burlington for a ferry ride and then another 15 minutes to get to Shelburne Farms with lots of kids’ activities.
