Went up there in early September with my family of five and really enjoyed it. Uli, the owner, was very pleasant and easy to work with. The house was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. If you have a large family or travelling with many families, it works well for kids with one bedrooms that has two bunk beds plus another bed as well as a TV (no cable, but does include DVD player). One side note about the kitchen, which is quite excellent, is that if you plan on cooking, be aware that the fire alarm can be a tad sensitive (I managed to set them off twice doing pan-frying).
The location works well if you plan on travelling around the state as it is centrally located to many sights like Quechee Gorge, the town of Woodstock, several wonderful lakes, and some beautiful scenic drives along Route 100. The town of Ludlow itself is quite lovely as well with some fun activities and solid dining choices (Goodman's American Pie and Sam's Steakhouse were great). We definitely would recommend this house to anyone and would book it again for ourselves next time we travel up to Vermont!
