We came up for a ski weekend during the end of January. We had an excellent time in the home that boasts a very spacious and relaxing setting for a getaway. Lisa, the owner, was very accessible via both e-mail and cell phone, and always made herself available when I reached out to her.
The house itself held 4 couple very comfortable, as we each had our own room. The Master suite is gorgeous and the bathroom is excellent. It is easy to see that a lot of time and effort has gone into maintaining the house to ensure that each and every guest who arrives has the best possible time. Lisa posts notes around the house with instructions on how to safely operate certain things, making it very easy for guests to navigate around the home.
Upon arrival, the house was already stocked with towels, toilet paper, coffee, dish soap, etc., allowing us to enjoy our time there instead of running out for supplies that you would never remember to bring on a vacation in the first place. It also gave us peace of mind to know that the hot tub is cleaned after every use.
Our group is anxious to go up there again, hopefully in the summer. The 2 porches have plenty of room on them, it was too bad it snowed that weekend and was 5 degrees outside. Otherwise, they provide an unbelievable view of the lake and would be great during the summer months.
It took us 25 to 30 minutes to get to Killington from the house in snowy conditions, and the house is also located just 3 miles from Okemo.
Great job to the Smith family, our entire group had an absolute blast!
