Roomy & Relaxing

4 of 5
This home was perfect for our family of five, and a couple of family friends - it has a huge, workable kitchen! The full-size washer and dryer were great to have. The home was ready for us on our first day, amply supplied and very clean. There is no central a/c which is common for the area, but may be something to think about if traveling during some hot weather. It was warm the first few days we were there, however the evening breeze coming off the lake made a big difference! The description was spot on, except that you can kayak, however, there isn't one provided. The pictures are an accurate representation of the property. There is a home close by, so it isn't for those looking for ultimate privacy. The owner was very nice and quick to respond to all questions. We would definitely rent again & recommend this vacation spot!

Great Home!

4 of 5
We were looking for a house to rent on the Islands. We had never vacationed in the area, and were hoping to find something that was centrally located, but also close enough to spend some time in Burlington. This house was perfect for us and Alan was a wonderful host. He gave us lots of advice about where to eat, shop and fish! We were across the street from the Hero's Welcome and just down the road from the North Hero House. My 2 sons fished every day from Alan's dock and my older one caught about 10 from there! Driftwood Tours (Capt. Holly) was a great suggestion for chartering some fishing out in the lake -- where my older son caught his first bass! Loved Alburgh Dunes for swimming. House was great with fully equipped kitchen, linens, washing machine, and even a veggie garden. The only minor downside was that being on Route 2, traffic can be loud early in the morning -- great if you want to get up and go fishing! Definitely would recommend this house.

Great Place Highly Recommend !

I stayed at this house a couple of years ago with my then three year old daughter, husband and a good friend and her family, which included her husband and their three year old and six year old daughters. We had a very comfortable week. The days were spent swimming, fishing and kayaking. The evenings we spent BBQing, having drinks on the deck, watched fab sunsets, the kids played in the sand box and in the very spacious yard. Late at night we watched DVD's snuggled on comfy sofas. We were able to cook great meals, bake nice things for breakfast, even had the supplies to bake a birthday cake and the room to celebrate, it was lovely. Location was good too, town and shops were nearby, petting farm park not too far. Environs were private but not out in the middle of nowhere, neighbours were really nice, overall we have really happy memories of our time there.
