Great Rustic cottage on the Lake

                    5 of 5
We were returned to the cottage for our second consecutive year and had a wonderful experience on both occasions! We brought along two 10 year olds and our half crazy dog Yodi. We stayed in the larger cottage which has plenty of room for more. I believe it was built in the 1920's and has a great deal of character. Unlike one of the previous reviewers, we were not expecting, or desiring a stay at the Hilton. If you are, don't stay here, but if you would like you and your kids to be away from your cell phones, with days filled with fishing, sunsets and simplicity, by all means, stay here! The owner of the property, Bob, was very accommodating to our every need. In fact, the other cottage was vacant the week we were there, and we asked Bob if, perhaps we could rent it for a couple of nights as we had friends who were planning on a visit. He said to not worry about it, "Let them enjoy it"! A couple of days later some one called who wanted to rent the second cottage for the week. Bob approached us and asked us if it was ok. He was actually going to let us have the cabin for free rather than rent it for a fee. Now that's service. Of course we thanked Bob for his consideration, but told him to make some money during the short season. We never felt unsafe or uncomfortable, as the previous reviewer had, nor did we expect polished silver and room service! It bothers me that one who may expect this from a 1920's cabin would write such a caustic review without consideration of possible consequences to the owner. She may want to stay closer to home in New Jersey!

                    Great Family Get-together Site !

                    5 of 5
Myself and 14 other Members of my immediate family spent a very pleasant week here in June. This waterfront lodge has all the modern conveniences you should ever need. It was very clean and spacey while still being homey. The owners were very pleasant and answered any questions that were posed. The view of the lake and the lodges waterfront were spectacular. A perfect place for Families and reunions. Highly recommended.

Exception lakefront home with just the right amoun

                    5 of 5
We are a family of five with three young children (13months -5years) with a lab puppy. Irene was amazing; she provided just the right amount of personal touch with a house warming basket (wine fruit and cheese local to VT) Loved it!!! Followed by a personal visit to ensure we were all set. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and more. The views, the lake and the outdoor patio cannot be beat! The kids and I loved taking the paddle boat out in the evenings to view the sunsets and have a last min. swim. This is the place if you really want to enjoy your family or love in a private quiet and beautiful setting. The house the location cannot be beat in the middle of it all while being away from it all. The host and the love is what makes us want to return next year. A BIG thank you to you Irene, keep up the wonderful hospitality and you will have a house bustling with happy souls. The Studebaker Family
