I have stayed in this lovely house more than a few times now (approx. 4 or 5 now) and there is a reason I always come back here when I'm traveling: this house is comfortable, spacious, perfectly appointed, and full of an antique yet modern charm that immediately makes you feel at home. Whether it's one lone writer (like myself) or a family of 7 (yes, it sleeps 7 people comfortably) it is always cozy and home-like. In the summer the pool is a lovely addition and in the winter, being right in the village is perfect amidst the snow, the trees, the classic New England architecture, and the store right across the street! Newfane is a story-book village in many ways and it can't be beat for sheer atmosphere. This house fits perfectly within the classical colonial architecture and the overall effect of the surroundings combined with the inner charm of the home make it simply, perfect.
Like I said, I've stayed here, written books here, and loved being here more than a few times, and I am sure I will do so again, and again, and again. If you have the chance, I suggest you do the same.
