Just what we wanted!

5 of 5
The place was a lovely ranch house, comfortably and attractively furnished, and nestled amid tall trees. It was clean, neat and pleasantly warm, and had everything we needed, including a nice wood-burning fireplace. There was a charming Vermont woods theme running through the decor of several rooms. Beds were excellent and, along with the fresh mountain air, brought a good night's sleep. There was an inviting hot tub in the basement (which is at ground level in that part of the house) but we did not have time to use it. Parking was easy, and the house location was straightforward, following the directions. It's just up a long winding hill from the main road (rte. 100), so it's convenient while being very private and quiet.

A Family Reunion...

5 of 5
My neice was to me married locally and my brothers and I were asked to feed the 60 guests expected on Saturday afternoon. We arrived on Friday with food and the preparation began in wonderful kitchen there. My brothers arrived later on Friday (one from near, one from far) and the food prep frenzey continued. I still hurt from laughing so much. The owners were present that weekend and helped out a great deal. Nice people. After the wedding, we headed back to Misty Mountain and just kicked back, relaxed and had a ball. The rooms were great; everyone had a good night's sleep, and we had a ball in this gorgeous kitchen. Plenty of space for everyone to gather and separate space to get some quiet time. We'll be back!!
