My girlfriend and I stayed here the first weekend in August. It was quiet and cozy and just what we needed. The owners were super-friendly and very easy to work with. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well.
The cabin is tiny, built more vertically than horizontally. If you are very tall, you should be mindful; I'm 6' 7" tall and I was banging my head on doorways and lighting fixtures. Still, the place is very warm, simple and inviting. Loved the hot tub; it's worth the extra money. Having a washer-dryer on site was a real treat and made our stay much more comfortable. Unfortunately, we never used the two-person kayak. There's a short path down to the boat launch area and it would have been very easy to do, but we were out exploring Wilmington and Bennington.
For high quality pizza, be sure to check out Pizzapalooza, the first restaurants you'll encounter as you head down from the cabin into Wilmington. Yummy pies and live music in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. There are a couple other pizza places in town, but they are more standard fare (not bad, though); Pizzapalooza has a great selection of crusts, sauces and toppings and they know what they're doing.
I think this is a great cabin for two people. You could have four people here, but you should all be very good friends.
If you're a ham radio operator, the owners are antenna friendly! I was able to put up a long wire antenna in one of the tall trees on the property and had a lot of success talking to stations over the North Pole into Siberia and Asia.
A very nice place to stay. Thanks for a relaxing time.
