Great oasis -- can't wait to come back!

5 of 5
Had a great time with great friends MLK weekend. The property is spacious, very clean and well maintained. The owner was a pleasure to plan with. Things we loved in particular - Open floor plan on main level was perfect for spending time with each other, especially while cooking. We did a lot of cooking to avoid eating out and managed with what was provided. - Location close to the mountain. Quick ride or longer walk to access skiing and the spa/gym at the grand summit hotel. - Amazing sound system throughout the house that was easy to use. Our phones easily connected wirelessly, allowing us to play our favorite tunes all weekend. - Thorough and entertaining house manual -- no stones left unturned here. - Plenty of parking in the driveway. Things to watch out for - Driveway can be a little tricky to drive on in icy weather (owner did warn us). We didn't all have 4 wheel drive cars, but it would help. When we did run into a little trouble with this, the owner was extremely patient and helpful. - Warning to those looking for specific tools/equipment in the kitchen -- The kitchen is stocked with just basics (as are most rentals). If you need any specific tool for cooking, ask the owner and/or plan on bringing with you.

My favorite house to rent in the Northeast.

5 of 5
I rent this house from David (Owner) a few times a year for the past 3-4 years. David- Great to work with and very accommodating. He is very responsive and helpful in answering your questions. House- The house is very spacious and comfortable. The living room has the most comfortable couch you will ever site in. Everyone always loves lounging on it and every night someone would just fall asleep or would rather sleep on it than in their own beds. Once you are in it, you will not want to get up. The fireplace is fairly big and always stocked well with wood. Do not leave there without making S’mores. There is a high end entertainment system that controls the speakers built in all areas of the house and outside deck. The house is also well decorated and furnished like someone lives there all the time. Basement- It is the largest open area in the house. It has a pool table and theatre with tons of board games and movies. Rooms- Each room has its own theme. If you’re the lucky one that get the master bedroom, it is HUGE and takes up the entire top floor. The master bathroom in is very large and nice as well. Kitchen- It is AMAZING! Top of the line equipment and all the dinner/kitchenware you would need. If you love to cook, this would be a dream kitchen. Jason(Caretaker of the house)- He is in the vicinity of the town and assists with any questions problems you may have using equipment or anything around the house during your stay as David I would assume is away when not occupying it. He is awesome to work with and makes sure that everything is set and ready to go. On our last departure day there was an ice storm “Icezilla” and all roads in the northeast were covered in ice. Jason gave me a call warning us about the conditions and told us to stay later until conditions got better and roads were sanded as he was concerned with our safety. Overall Experience- As I mentioned, I rent here frequently year over year so you know I love this place. Everyone that comes along with me to this house loves this place as well and is sad to leave on departure. It is an awesome private getaway from the city in a beautiful large property with awesome property owners and managers working with you. -PC

Awesome place to stay

5 of 5
The house is great. Everything was clean and well maintained, so all we had to do was unpack and relax. It was very spacious, even with my group of 12; the living room/dining/kitchen allowed us to hang out and prep meals without feeling like we're shoulder to shoulder. It's about a 5 minute drive to Mount Snow which is really nice if you've had a long day on the slopes and just want to relax asap. And if you're running low on supplies or whatever, there's a market place down and across the street you can walk to. Mayra was very friendly and easy to talk to, and I'm sure she would have been helpful if any problems occurred, but the house was just that good. All in all, it felt like home and I would definitely rent again.
