I spent 4 months in this home during winter 2014. Overall I found the house to be clean and spacious, and the owners friendly. The location is a hillside on the south end of Montpelier, so there is a bit of a view towards downtown. There is a co-op grocery less than a 10 minute walk away, and downtown is less than a 20 minute walk. The street traffic can be busy by small-town standards, but it is quiet by city standards. The driveway entrance is steep but paved. The rest of the driveway is gravel; there is space to park several cars, including 1 small car in the carport. I found the oil furnace heating expensive during the winter, though the weather was unusually cold that year. The owners kept the driveway well-plowed. There were 2 large flat-screen televisions. The kitchen has a large refrigerator, a gas cooktop, 2 electric ovens, and lots of cupboards. Downtown Montpelier has several restaurants with casual settings and excellent food.
