Delightful Destination

4 of 5
Stayed here in October with friends. Beautiful house, great accommodations for a group. Private setting, walking distance to downtown Manchester Center which has something for everyone--gorgeous historic main street, hundreds of upscale outlets, antique stores, a not-to-be-missed bookstore, great restaurants, inspiring yarn shop, hiking, beautiful fall colors, and lots we didn’t have time to explore. Near Stratton, Bromley, Magic Mountain skiing for a winter visit. Area offeres something for any time of year. House is huge, plenty of elbow room for a crowd. Large kitchen and living room where all could gather, fireplaces in and outdoors, hot tub, grill, big yard. Check out photos of the bedrooms - range from elegant master suite with steam shower to bunk beds and a pull out sleeper downstairs, but each with dedicated bath, so our gang agreed to draw straws. A.M. Boomer backs on a bunk bed and sleeper couch were the only non-5 star comments among 10 guests; wine under the stars in the hot tub helped immensely. Despite detailed instruction sheets, 15 years of combined advanced degrees couldn’t master the built-in coffee maker (there were also simpler versions), the TV, or several light switches, but the owner was responsive and good natured with queries. Made for lots of laughs. Thanks, Jon!

Beautiful, spacious house with gorgeous views

5 of 5
Six of us spent a long Columbus Day weekend here. The house is large and very tastefully and comfortably furnished, and it's well supplied with anything one could need. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. And the mountain views are spectacular. Though there are neighbors on either side, the yard is very private. We felt as if we were in our own mountain hideaway. Would highly recommend it.

Our 2nd Family Vacation in this Impressive Home!

5 of 5
We were so happy to have spent our 2nd family vacation in this beautiful home with our children and grandchildren. It is just as comfortable and inviting as we remembered it to be—we all feel very much “at home” there! Once again we enjoyed every detail of the home (it is more spacious & beautiful than depicted in the photos) and all that it has to offer. Everyone wanted their same bedroom as last year—loving the comfy beds & bathrobes, not to mention the 5-star hotel quality bathrooms--my son-in-law (an engineer) and daughter’s boyfriend (an architect) both commented on the beautiful, high end fixtures and custom built cabinetry :) Not only is the house impressive, but the location as well. I love the drive down the road and up to the house—it’s beautiful!! There is a feeling of complete privacy on this gorgeous lot overlooking the meadow and yet we were minutes from all the lovely shops, outlets and restaurants. We have been coming to Manchester this time of year for over 4 years now for the Mt. Equinox Hill Climb—the best thing we ever did was to find this amazing home and plans are to return again next year! Thanks again to Ariane for everything!
