Great House

4 of 5
The place is old with character and a well maintained interior. Very short drive to Okemo and short walk to town. The owners were great to deal with. No hassles. Nice people. Price was good for amount of room. We had 5 adults with us. I would rent this house again.

Look no further!

We stayed at the Andover House at the end of March last year. I never got around writing a review about this amazing vacation house until now (I m here to book a repeat visit). Diane & Jeff did an incredible job remodeling & renovating this property. It's very difficult to modernize a house while retaining its old charm & character. Owners definitely found a happy medium! Living room is converted from a barn and is so cozy that we spent an entire evening just relaxing there. Hot tub is new and clean and easily accessible from the living room. Kitchen is updated with brand new, top of the line stainless steel appliances. Owners kept an old cast iron potbelly stove in the kitchen/dining area which adds to the charm. One feels like living in the 19th century with 21st century amenities! There is the basketball court in the attic, how genious is that!!! I can keep going on and on but I have to go make another booking before everything sells out. The house is comfortable, close to Okemo & shopping and perfect for groups! I highly recommend it to everyone!

You can see the fireworks on Okemo!

5 of 5
We have stayed at this house twice and had a great time on both occasions. The first time we stayed we did have some difficulties with the furnace, but the local caretaker came right over and helped out (and the owner was quite responsive too, despite the holiday)! We stayed for almost a week after Christmas and though New Years and it was wonderful. The house was clean and well cared for - even a pre-built fire awaited us in the fireplace. The owner replaced the fire doors on the ground floor and the carpeting in the basement, both of which were much appreciated this year. We grilled on the deck, had a New Years bonfire in the backyard, and shredded lots of fresh powder on Okemo. The mountain is a 5-10 minute drive away, very convenient. Only word of caution is to bring a car with four wheel drive or similar if you come in a storm - the driveway is steep, and even with the excellent plowing (the plows came about 5x/day during the heavy snows) it can be difficult to climb in a car.
