Recent Ludlow / Okemo Mountain Area Reviews

beautiful views

4 of 5
My husband, 3 dogs, and myself had a great time during our stay. The property and view of Okemo Mountain was gorgeous......so relaxing just hanging out on the deck. plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Lots of restaurants within 10-15 minutes of the house. Brought our kayaks and found lake access 5 minutes away. House dated inside but clean. Spiral staircase not accessible to the dogs and would be a problem for someone with a disability. Overall we had a great trip and have no regrets about renting this house.

good house, right price and good maintainace peopl

5 of 5
It's a very nice house, maintainace people put everything you need, beds are very comfortable and clean. The kitchen are ready to cook, has a lot of glasses, pots, spoons, forks, knives and etc. second floor have a big room for party and play, got a gas fire place. The house is at the side of N103, but you need to go a little bit into trees off the road, quiet and no one will disturb you. There is a small water fall in walking distance. The landlord is very nice, payback deposit very quick after we leave. Anyway we had a really fun time up there, will definitely go again in winter.

A wonderful getaway

5 of 5
Still vacationing but had to take time to write a review of our stay so far. The owner, Tom, has been nothing but responsive from day one. The house is perfect for all. I am vacationing with my senior parents, family friend, my cat and dog and this house has met all of our very different needs. Great open layout, nicely stocked cabinets, clean, beautiful views from the deck, 45 second walk to the lake, down a lovely path and a less than 5 minute walk to the Belmont General store which I am quite impressed with how many items they carry despite its small size. They even have a nice little wine selection. The house is situated open enough that you don't feel stranded but private enough that my dog can safely roam, although she typically heads straight to the lake. This house is perfect for those with mobility issues due to the open layout and 4 small steps to get in the house and unloading the car is easy with the private driveway right next to the door. The actual open area by the lake is small but perfect to fit chairs and get the boat and kayak in and out of the water, and really with all that lake how much open land area do you need? There is a nice yard by the house perfect for outdoor activities and you still have lake views. The basement is great for kids and adults alike, however we have been fortunate with beautiful weather so we have been spending all of our time outside when we are not out sight seeing. Location is great with Weston, Ludlow, Rutland, Woodstock and Manchester all less than an hour drive. We have been enjoying breakfast and dinners on the deck and during the warm afternoons have been out by or on the lake. Still hoping to have a camp fire by the lake, just haven't had time so far . This is my first stay in Vermont and it has been lovely and this house has made it perfect. House has wifi which has come in handy since cell service is limited but a daily walk to town allows me to check in for messages and really, while on vacation that is more than enough. I would definitely recommend this house for families (only thing is if you have little ones bring 2 gates for the deck because there are stairs), couples, seniors or a girls get away. The only thing in my opinion that is missing is a hammock for afternoon naps outside. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing and hope I am fortunate to come back next year. And yes, the drinking water is great. Thanks Tom for a wonderful stay at your lovely home. Wish we were staying longer.
