Highly Recommend This Beautiful Rental

5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in this VT. home. This house is beautifully decorated and the grounds and lake made for a very relaxing week. My family loved kayak/canoeing on the lake, bonfires and roasting s'mores. I, myself, could not get enough of laying on the hammock! There are also many attractions nearby, so the children enjoyed their action packed time. I do have to mention a few things about the house - 1. It is FULLY stocked! You only need to bring your personal items, clothing and toiletries, and groceries (kayaks, canoes, life jackets are also provided). 2. It is very nicely decorated. The owner could make a branch look like art. Oh wait...she did! 3. Super clean. 4. The owner is wonderful to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a perfect time!

Perfect Okemo Getaway

5 of 5
Now that I booked for 2015 . I want to share How nice this rental townhome is. You arrive near the highest residential area and enjoy the nice fireplace and views overlooking the town of Ludlow. Skiing made easy. walk out front and thats the area ski shuttle will pick you up. and drop off. Its 50 ft from property. You can ski all day and let kids go home anytime they want. No stress No mess . Home is well appointed and clean . Looking forward to years of memories. Regards Jerry

A wonderful getaway

5 of 5
Still vacationing but had to take time to write a review of our stay so far. The owner, Tom, has been nothing but responsive from day one. The house is perfect for all. I am vacationing with my senior parents, family friend, my cat and dog and this house has met all of our very different needs. Great open layout, nicely stocked cabinets, clean, beautiful views from the deck, 45 second walk to the lake, down a lovely path and a less than 5 minute walk to the Belmont General store which I am quite impressed with how many items they carry despite its small size. They even have a nice little wine selection. The house is situated open enough that you don't feel stranded but private enough that my dog can safely roam, although she typically heads straight to the lake. This house is perfect for those with mobility issues due to the open layout and 4 small steps to get in the house and unloading the car is easy with the private driveway right next to the door. The actual open area by the lake is small but perfect to fit chairs and get the boat and kayak in and out of the water, and really with all that lake how much open land area do you need? There is a nice yard by the house perfect for outdoor activities and you still have lake views. The basement is great for kids and adults alike, however we have been fortunate with beautiful weather so we have been spending all of our time outside when we are not out sight seeing. Location is great with Weston, Ludlow, Rutland, Woodstock and Manchester all less than an hour drive. We have been enjoying breakfast and dinners on the deck and during the warm afternoons have been out by or on the lake. Still hoping to have a camp fire by the lake, just haven't had time so far . This is my first stay in Vermont and it has been lovely and this house has made it perfect. House has wifi which has come in handy since cell service is limited but a daily walk to town allows me to check in for messages and really, while on vacation that is more than enough. I would definitely recommend this house for families (only thing is if you have little ones bring 2 gates for the deck because there are stairs), couples, seniors or a girls get away. The only thing in my opinion that is missing is a hammock for afternoon naps outside. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing and hope I am fortunate to come back next year. And yes, the drinking water is great. Thanks Tom for a wonderful stay at your lovely home. Wish we were staying longer.
