Ski Weekend

4 of 5
Just returned from a Spring ski weekend. Despite the cold temps we had a great weekend. The house is "very" spacious and was perfect for 4 adults and 5 older teens. Very convenient to Magic, Bromley, and Stratton. The views from this home are incredible. The four adults thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and the teens used the second family room and the game room.

A perfect ski house for our extended family

5 of 5
This is a beautiful, well-designed, spacious house! We were so delighted when we entered--fresh flowers and homemade gingerbread on the kitchen island and plenty of space for all that we needed for meals for a week of skiing for a family of ten. It is authentically Vermont, not something designed to simulate an old Vermont farmhouse. The house has so much character, with rustic beams and old paneling throughout the downstairs, yet is bright, spacious and beautifully designed for comfort. Three bathrooms, all with showers, and one so big our toddler called it her bedroom, made for easy living. All of the bedrooms, prettily wallpapered, have their own stove heaters, so we could all adjust to our own temperature needs while sleeping. The kitchen was perfectly appointed with plenty of everything we needed and nice touches, too, e.g., napkins and paper towels were included and basic staples for cooking were on the shelves. One had the feeling that we were guests and friends of the owners, not renters. The decorating was perfect--very pretty and fresh, but not overdone. They wasn't a wrong note anywhere you cast your eye in the house. Beautiful and interesting pictures on the wall added so much interest. The linens were cozy and pretty as well. The master bedroom was beautiful and large, with a soaring ceiling and sky lights (with shades) and ample room for a cot. The dining table was big enough for all of us and situated nicely between the open kitchen and the living room. There was even a den off to the side, which was great for those who needed to catch up with work. Another corner with a desk was tucked in an area in the living room away from traffic, which was happily used by my daughter-in-law. We never heard a peep from the owners, but it was nice to know they were there. We mentioned by phone message a small problem (an ice dam, there being so much snow) and Lynn had someone out that very afternoon to fix it. Toward the end of the week, we met the owners and had a chance to chat. They are both just lovely! it was a perfect home for us. The house is located very nicely on a main road and very close to a large grocery store that had everything we needed, even fresh clams! It was 20 minutes to Stratton Mt. We will definitely rent the house again if everyone can get away! The home was perfectly clean when we arrived and easy to maintain during the busy week. I would recommend this property to anyone!

Amazing Amazing Amazing

5 of 5
I cannot say enough what a pleasure it was to stay in this home. It is obviously a well loved and well cared for home. Ben was beyond generous and available and always happy and a pleasure to speak/deal with. The house is roomy and warm, with lots of cozy charm and the kitchen is the best stocked for cooking I have ever experienced in a rental. We were there a week, two couples, and we cooked every meal. There were a couple of winter storms and we lost power, but the electric company worked fast, and Ben was on the scene quickly as well with candles and extra firewood. We stayed warm and happy. The home is located near great skiing - and the property and neighborhood was great for walking around. Nearby shopping accessible by car. All our needs were met and beyond. We hope to return for the dog sledding Ben hosts! Listing accurate - pictures accurate - clean, well-maintained. Owner easy to deal with, responsive, on the ball and super friendly. Cannot recommend more highly. Oh, we went online and found a massage therapist who got a colleague to come for a house call. That was great. http://www.wisehandsvermont.com Really, most I have to say is ENJOY.
