            perfect family vacation!

            5 of 5
We loved this beautiful home on Lake Elmore. Everything exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, well-cared for, spacious and cozy at the same time and had everything we needed. The outdoor space was amazing...everything from the porches to the firepit to the dock. Our kids (4 & 5) had a blast biking on the quiet dirt road, swimming off the dock, canoeing from the public beach, making s'mores by the fire pit and fishing (they caught 54 fish during our week there) There was plenty to do for the adults too -- climbing to the top of Mt Elmore, local art galleries, a day trip to Burlington and dinners in Stowe. We can't wait to return to this property again next summer!

            Best view on Lake Elmore

            5 of 5
This house looks like the only house on the lake surrounded by water on three sides. There is a lake view from every room including the bathroom. Huge kitchen with everything you need for a week vacation. Gas BBQ grill was used frequently. Three tables for eating options but we always ate on the outside porch. Can't beat the view. Loved the wood panel inside. All kinds of interesting furnishing and decorations. Beds were all on the second floor. Allowed us to spread out our guests for some privacy. Lake is gorgeous. Provided paddle boat is fun to explore the lake. Only 2 adults in the front. Adults in the back and you will get wet. We saw no life preservers available but you really can not sink or tip this boat. We used the cottage for a staging area for our daughter's outdoor wedding in the State Park a mile away. Big help staying so close to the park and having a place to change. Fantastic setting for the wedding. Wifi in cottage was very useful. We had no cell coverage at the lake (maybe a good thing). Small market on other side of lake. Main shopping in Morrisville about 10-15 minutes away. Owners were easy to work with. They responded to my emails quickly and even mailed to us my wife's favorite pair of pants she forgot. Had a wonderful stay!

Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views.

The home was clean inside and out. There were fresh towels and linens on the beds when we arrived. The house is set back from the road which is nice even though the road isn't heavily traveled. The location is convenient to Stowe, Waterbury, and Montpeiler. Morrisville has a Pricechopper and Hannfords where you can get groceries. The home has a fully outfitted kitchen so you can cook whatever you want. There is also a grill. The owner provides a canoe, paddles, and life vests as well as fishing rods. There were ducks that would come right up on the grass to be hand fed and there was a pair of loons with a young one that could be seen daily. We were lucky with our stay because neither of the homes on the sides of us were occupied while we were there so it was very peaceful. I wish we would have stayed 2 weeks because it was so relaxing. You can look out a the lake from the kitchen or living room in addition to sitting on the porch. My kids took advantage of the chance to go swimming in the lake as well as use the hot tub. Overall, a wonderful time at a nice lake house.
