Sweet Sixteen Celebration

5 of 5
The Elmore Lake house was wonderful! The location was gorgeous and the home exceeded our expectations with every amentity thoughfully provided by the hosts Bruce & Lucille. The backdrop of the lake surrounded by Vermont's foliage on Mt. Elmore was perfect for making our daughter's sixteenth birthday memorable. It was a breeze to entertain in the well equipped kitchen, the directions were clear on how to operate media, gas stove and fireplace, ceiling fans, and lighting. Having access to a clean, bright garage was appreciated due to the heavy downpour experienced on 10/4. The clear expectations regarding clean-up and check-out were also helpful. The space is very condusive to entertaining adults and children in separate spaces but still within hearing distance. We slept six very comfortably.

Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views.

5 of 5
The home was clean inside and out. There were fresh towels and linens on the beds when we arrived. The house is set back from the road which is nice even though the road isn't heavily traveled. The location is convenient to Stowe, Waterbury, and Montpeiler. Morrisville has a Pricechopper and Hannfords where you can get groceries. The home has a fully outfitted kitchen so you can cook whatever you want. There is also a grill. The owner provides a canoe, paddles, and life vests as well as fishing rods. There were ducks that would come right up on the grass to be hand fed and there was a pair of loons with a young one that could be seen daily. We were lucky with our stay because neither of the homes on the sides of us were occupied while we were there so it was very peaceful. I wish we would have stayed 2 weeks because it was so relaxing. You can look out a the lake from the kitchen or living room in addition to sitting on the porch. My kids took advantage of the chance to go swimming in the lake as well as use the hot tub. Overall, a wonderful time at a nice lake house.

Christmas at the Lake Elmore House

5 of 5
My family and I spent this past Christmas week at the Elmore Lake House and we were so happy with the house that I wanted to write a review. The house exceeded my expectations in terms of decor and quality of everything. The kitchen had everything! We made dinner every night and there were pots and pans and bowls and knives and just anything you would ever need, along with full sets of plates and glasses, etc. We were also well-equipped with activities. We went hiking, skiing, sledding and also had a spa-day, so there was plenty to do in the area. The owners were very sweet & thoughtful and really bent over backwards to make sure that our stay was pleasant. I would highly recommend this house!
