Wedding From Heaven

5 of 5
We originally came across the Fielder Farm as a location for out-of-town family traveling to Vermont for our wedding to stay together while here. After visiting the farm, and meeting Sarah and Bert, we knew it was the perfect venue for our hometown wedding. Sarah and Bert went above and beyond any expectations we ever had as our hosts, and we felt so welcome and at home during our stay. Having everyone in one location, instead of multiple hotels or our home, was such a pleasure and took a lot of stress out of our wedding weekend. Our family was able to enjoy cooking meals together, walking the various trails, and fly-fishing in the pond. Two couple that traveled for our wedding had infants and we had a couple three year olds, too. It was wonderful to be able to offer everyone their own space during the stay, especially with the little ones. On the day of our wedding the weather decided not to cooperate, but that didn't hinder the overall mood. Our wedding guests were blown away by the beauty of the property anyway. I wish I could give a higher rating than "excellent", because I really can't describe how amazing our stay was. We really couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue for our celebration, and we already want to go back. The Most Satisfied Bride, Hannah P.

Exception lakefront home with just the right amoun

5 of 5
We are a family of five with three young children (13months -5years) with a lab puppy. Irene was amazing; she provided just the right amount of personal touch with a house warming basket (wine fruit and cheese local to VT) Loved it!!! Followed by a personal visit to ensure we were all set. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and more. The views, the lake and the outdoor patio cannot be beat! The kids and I loved taking the paddle boat out in the evenings to view the sunsets and have a last min. swim. This is the place if you really want to enjoy your family or love in a private quiet and beautiful setting. The house the location cannot be beat in the middle of it all while being away from it all. The host and the love is what makes us want to return next year. A BIG thank you to you Irene, keep up the wonderful hospitality and you will have a house bustling with happy souls. Relaxing week, Great Accommodations

4 of 5
My family of 4, including two teen children spent 1 week at the Aldrich Carriage Barn. This second level walk-up apartment has all the comforts of home and is was very appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the entire suite is super clean. Our favourite place in the cottage had to be the window bench which overlooked Claire's garden. The cottage is not located on the waterfront but it is only a few minutes walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of Isle La Motte and my husband and son spent most days fishing on Lake Champlain. The lake is clean and has an abundance of fish. There is a private beach but it was quite narrow as the water was high when we visited. However, there is a wonderful shaded deck which overlooks the water and beach area, where my daughter and I spent many afternoons just reading. I brought my bicycle and toured the island as the scenery is fabulous. Many of the roads follow the shoreline and they is minimal traffic and the roadways are excellent. There is no internet and this is an amenity that we missed. A big thank you to Claire & Mike for their hospitality and their great place.
