FABULOUS!

5 of 5
We just had the best week at this lakeside "Camp". The cabin comes with so many extras it just made our stay extra nice. The lake is a gem and the huge porch is just feet away from it. It was difficult to pull ourselves out of our rocking chairs on the porch to swim and boat in the lake. But when we did, we loved it. Our daughters really loved playing outside and in the lake. A day trip to Burlington VT was especially fun, but the local area is very friendly and has what you need - including a winery at the top of the hill. The shooting stars across the lake at night were spectacular. We feel very lucky to have found this gem of a "camp" and no doubt will be sure to return. Thank you to our very lovely and hospitable hosts!

SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL

5 of 5
We just returned from a week-long stay with our three daughters -- ages 9, 7 and 6 -- at the Little House. None of them wanted to leave and my husband and I were reluctant to drive away, too. We're city folk and we fell in love with Isle La Motte. So much good to say about Little House. Our girls learned to canoe and kayak (they've never been in one before), swam off the dock to the floating dock nearby, enjoyed biking around the island and were treated to a special trip to Alex and David's friends' farm (our girls fed baby goats and a baby miniature pony). Alex and David were so completely attentive to things we didn't even ask for (like a larger frame bike for my 6'5" husband) and arranged the farm trip knowing we had young girls. The kitchen is so well equipped (everything a foodie could want) and the home is so thoughtfully and well constructed. A lovely vacation, thanks to a lovely couple (whom we've never met) with a lovely home that's now a lovely memory for us. We can't wait to return.

THE PERFECT RENTAL

5 of 5
I had the opportunity to check out this rental and found it to be the most amazing rental out there. Spacious, you can bring the whole family and not be on top of each other. Wildlife, if you like seeing deer, bear, moose and other wild life this is the place to watch them come down to drink in the river across the street or graze on the lawns. Great place to hold a small wedding, family reunion, weekend get away. There are plenty of places in the house to curl up with a good book, play games with the kids or just get in some relaxation. If you like hiking there are plenty of trails in the National Forest, along the river and in the wooded areas. Skiing is so close to the house as well as great restaurants in the nearby town. I can't wait to go back for another visit and bring my whole family. D Bickford
