Thank you John!!

Awesome house...awesome owner... can't beat the price!! will definitley be coming back again just one thing ... a little odd that when we came in we had to do our own bedding (there were just bed sheets & pillow sheets left on top of the bed)...other than that there was nothing to complain out

Winter family get-away

5 of 5
This was my second stay at the cabin, and my second season to experience the warmth and welcome of this lovely spot! The prime attraction, for me, is the quiet charm of the Hollow, and the rustic feel of this 200-year-old retreat. Oh, and the views over the Green Mountains are breathtaking! The trip was made with my husband and adult sons and daughter, and we took advantage of the proximity to the Green Mountains National Forest for some snowshoeing and hiking, as well as enjoying meals and shopping in charming Rochester. The house is full of antiques and collectibles, collected and displayed to evoke comfort and hominess. The place is spacious and well laid out for conversation and just hanging out and catching up with everyone - and the kitchen offers anything one might need to prepare a home-cooked meal, which we did several times! Rhoda is a superb owner, welcoming us with a friendly note and some yummy, local maple syrup. She also provides ample information about local venues, activities and businesses, and offered suggestions for hiking that were close by yet off the beaten path. If you wish for an opportunity to "unplug" from the rush and distractions of life, this is the place!

Perfect New Year stay and skiing

5 of 5
We stayed in the house for 4 nights, during New Year. Really does not have anything for a critic. The house was perfect for ours 3 small families (5 adults and 3 kids), and it can accommodate more people for sure. The hot tub is amazing, and we used it every evening after a day of skiing. Kids loved it too. My 2 small Yorkies traveled with us also, and the fact that this house is on its own property, and surroundings are not polluted with salt or other chemicals was a big plus for us - I walked my doggies without any fear on a fresh, clean snow. We thought that this place will be a bit too far from the Killington mountain, but it is not so; short 15 min, or even less, drive to Ramshead was not a problem at all. Thanks Mike, and I am looking forward to stay in the house again sometime.
