Beautiful location convenient for VT adventures

My group of 11 enjoyed themselves at this relaxing property. In the summer there are a variety of great outdoor activities nearby and the property itself has great space for outdoor fun and games. The house had plenty of rustic charm and ample cooking space for our larger group.

Fantastic vacation!!

My husband and I decided to get away for our 20th anniversary with our 2 Huskies. We thought the Horkan House would be perfect and we couldn't have asked for more!! the property was clean, and comfortable. The dogs loved the river and the hiking we could do right from the house. Although our dogs wouldn't go up the open stairs, it wasn't an issue with the bedroom on the bottom floor. Plenty of movies and games to keep us occupied and the house has little "perks" that you will enjoy when you get there :). The ride into town was about 12 miles, and not an issue at all. Cell phones worked about 5 minutes down the road. We will definitely visit again! We just wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much Lu for letting us share your home!

Roaring Brook Rd Gem

5 of 5
I rented this home this past weekend with good friends and have to say, we really enjoyed the home and all of it's ameneties. We loved the layout of the kitchen/living area, really cozy yet spacious for entertaining and just relaxing with spectacular views of the mountain. The location is great as you have all the dining/night life at your doorstep. The home was very clean when we arrived and there is plenty of room for skis and boots etc in the room off the foyer. I'd recommend this home to anyone looking for a great location, excellent floor plan for entertaining for a group of up to 10 people. The only drawback we experienced was no hot tub but if that's not an important amenety, then you can't go wrong with this lovely home.
