Perfect weekend getaway!

5 of 5
The Farmehouse is the perfect place for a weekend getaway with a large group. Lots of living room space to hang out by the fireplace or pellet stove. The fully equipped kitchen, and huge dining room table were perfect for our homemade dinners with the entire group. The hot tub was heated up and ready to go when we got there on Thursday night! The house is very close to the Killington slopes and short walk from the Long Trail brewery and bar. The house and accommodations could not have been better, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time!

Mountain View Farm house was a lovely home base.

4 of 5
The house was great. Lots of rooms and bathrooms. The Kitchen was fully equipped and great to have 2 dinning areas to eat in. GREAT house for multiple families (2 probably). It had 3 toilets, 2 bath tubs (one being a 3 person jet tub) and 1 shower. I would say it probably could use another shower downstairs off the room with the queen bed. The laundry room was huge and came in handy to do a quick load of our snotty ski masks! It is about 35 min from both killington and sugarbush so you have options to ski both. The town of Rochester isn't much. They do have wifi which was a blessing because the 80's TV didn't cut it. They did have a few games we played.. Trivial pursuit was a hit w/ the kids. when we didn't ski one day. I would have thought they would put a flat screen TV in the downstairs living room but I guess it's a retreat from the modern world. There are horses and cows next door so watch out for the smells at different times of the day. A great find!

Awesome time at the property

5 of 5
The house is fabulous: extra large and comfortable rooms, beautiful views, enormous kitchen (with every possible gadgets and condiments you need), extremely private and quiet (we saw only horses at the neighboring property). The house is much more than we were expecting from the photos: beautiful and perfectly set up for renters (drawers and closets not crowded with owner's possession, like we have seen before), very spacious and nicely furnished. Mitch was very accommodating and provided outstanding service, pleasure to deal with!. We had a group of 6 adults and a kid and we loved the place so much that we extended our stay! We will definitely be back. This "is" the getaway spot and our destination in Vermont from now on! The house is nice and easy 20 minute drive to Okemo Jackson Gore (and of course to all amenities of Ludlow). However, aside of skiing, all we wanted to do is to enjoy the house.
