Loved the Black Bear Cabin!

5 of 5
Spent three nights at the Black Bear Cabin while skiing at Jay Peak during Feb 2015. Cabin was as nice as advertised. Very clean, cozy and warm! (crazy cold weather with -18 one morning!) We had four adults and four kids. Kids loved the loft and spent entire time up there. Beds were great. My only suggestion would be to add a few things to the kitchen - A colander (pasta is a big ski dinner favorite), a large pasta pot (we couldn't find the lobster pot advertised) and a few more dish towels. We would definitely recommend the cabin! Lastly, the check-in/check-out process was incredibly easy - loved the VRBO app and notifications. J&K

Beautiful home, great experience

5 of 5
The property is located in a beautiful quite somewhat remote part of town, excellent if your looking for that place to get away for it all. Easy drive to Jay's peak of you like to ski/snowboard. The property itself is very well kept and can easily support large family or group of friends. The owners are very receptive and respond quickly. Everything went as planned- even better. My only regret was not staying longer. I hope to plan another trip to this location.

Beautiful Views

4 of 5
I rented this house with a group of friends for New Years 2014/15. The house is located atop a hill with beautiful views of the farms below as well as Jay Peak Mountain in the distance. It's about a 20-25 min drive to Tramside base. This home is perfect for 8 people with plenty of space for everyone and their ski gear. The owners are very friendly (as you would expect from Vermont natives) and greeted us upon arrival. They provided clean linens as well as items like paper towels and other basic necessities. The three car garage was a great amenity so that you don't have to clean snow off of it in the morning. The pellet stove offered great ambiance and kept us very warm while doing an excellent job drying our gear. My only complaint is that the hot water didn't last as long as preferred so we had to time our showers accordingly. Not the biggest deal. Besides that, we had a great experience and would definitely rent here again. Thanks!
