SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING.

      5 of 5
We vacationed with extended family (12 in total) once again this year and my sister struck gold when she found Island Farm. The only time we saw the kids was to watch them swim or when they were hungry. Most mornings started with the kids running out to the barn to feed the baby goats and miniature ponies and ended with cocktails on the front lawn in the shade of the old Maple overlooking the lake. We researched day trips, but never left the house other than for groceries. Between swimming, boating, fishing, bike riding along the lake, frisbee and wiffle ball games, there wasn't much more we needed. The house and property are large enough to find quiet spots to read and just relax. We never once felt like we were falling over each other. We were lucky enough to be there for the 4th of July to watch the fireworks display from their beach while we watches from the front lawn without obstruction or crowds. We can't say enough about the owners, Debbie and Mike. They made us feel extremely welcome and were there for anything we needed. We will definitely be back.

A GREAT WEEK IN A HOUSE WITH CHARACTER.

      5 of 5
We spent a week with our adult children in this picturesque and comfortable farmhouse. The house and grounds were more spacious than I expected, complete with gardens, a tire swing and tall shade trees. Daily swimming in Lake Champlain provided blessed relief from the hot, humid weather. There were plenty of spaces to congregate, and also spaces to "get away from it all." We're a family of readers and photographers and were delighted to find lots of nooks and crannies - both inside and out - where we could curl up with a book or frame an artistic shot. There were lots of things to do in the area but we were perfectly content enjoying the place itself. The sunsets were even more spectacular than promised - every evening a masterpiece!
