Comfortable, clean and has described

The cabin was just as the Young's as said it would be and the photo's indicated. Anna and Jeremy were very accommodating to our needs and easy to work with and kept in touch to ensure everything was going well. Great area and we will not hesitate to stay here again next year.

Magical

5 of 5
I've been remiss in not writing sooner but my memory of our stay is still strong. Your home was absolutely remarkable. And under your roof, six friends came together to celebrate the life of one dear friend who was fighting a difficult battle. In the five days that we were there, the house and its surroundings brought an immeasurable sense of peace, joy, love and laughter. It embraced us in warmth and beauty. And we felt immortal. We’ve lost our dear friend since then but we’re pretty sure as she closed her eyes she pictured smiles and a sparkly lake and autumn colors and a wraparound porch that bound our hearts together forever. Thank you Sandra and Michael for making your home ours. It was magical. Dawn

THE BEST PLACE IN NEW ENGLAND!

5 of 5
Wow! Where do I even start? Usually when looking for a vacation rental, I have a bunch of houses I go back and forth looking at, trying to decide what works, what doesn't, and then finally deciding on the best of the bunch... in this case, it was the first house I saw, the first reviews I read and that was it, locked in my dates within an hour of inquiring and it was a done deal and boy, was it ever! I have NEVER had a better vacation than the one I just had at this rental. All of the reviews on this property and the owners were spot on, accurate and truthful, without a doubt! And what can I possibly add that hasn't already been said by everyone else reviewing this property? As an entrepreneur who works from home, who is "plugged in" ALWAYS, who is 24/7 with her clients, this was the FIRST time in more years than I can remember that I actually "unplugged" for the entire week and didn't feel guilty because what I felt the entire week was that I was FINALLY getting a chance to feel normal again, to feel like it was okay to have a vacation and to thoroughly enjoy myself, geez, what a concept, and yet, for workaholics like myself, vacation is like a curse and yet... in this place and with Kristi and Ed, I wanted to just stay and never leave... I did things this past week that I haven't allowed myself to do in years... hiking at Mt. Pisgau, antiquing throughout the Northeast Kingdom, eating at the Parker Pie Company and having my first beer since high school, walking the long AND short roads, having nightly wine tasting in the cottage, watching the loons learning how to fly on the pond, canoeing at sunrise, watching the mist rise above the water, reading a book for the first time in forever on the porch overlooking the pond, watching Sunday, Monday and Thursday night football, a guilty pleasure I never allow myself, making dinner each night as the sun went down... the list just goes on and on and on of things I haven't done in years and it's all because Kristi and Ed set the tone from the moment we arrived at the cottage to the moment we left this morning and said goodbye to them... it was like saying goodbye to old friends even though we had just met them a week before. When do you EVER have an experience like that and yet, that is the exact experience we had this week. You want to talk about a five-star experience, the kind that people travel all over the world to have? Well, you don't have to travel any further than this place.
