Pleasant Environment With Beautiful Sunsets

5 of 5
My wife and I spent a pleasant two weeks in late September at this cottage. The pace was relaxing and the sunsets over the lake were beautiful to behold. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and I cannot say enough good things about Martha, our host. It was a pleasure to deal with her and meet her husband, Mark.

August 2014

Recently enjoyed a beautiful week at the lake! House was beyond our expectations..fully equipped. .we could have just packed a suitcase. Comfortable. .roomy.. great views. Little children need watching with indoor stairs and outside lower deck and steps to beach.we had some family over and they were very impressed.

Cottage on lake

4 of 5
The cottage was adorable. Excellent views of lake and islands. Our host was warm and helpful at every opportunity. The location was truly beautiful. Would recommend that u bring a boat or kyack to enjoy the lake. The lake is shallow and does not have a beach. The water is cool and shore is all slate and rock. Not conducive for swimming due to beds of lake plants. Vermont is very buggy in august due to the short growing season. So we had some bug battles like not sitting outside without a good breeze and flying insects being attracted to the cabin lights at night and trying to get in and somewhat successfully. Overall we loved the quiet and the soft roll of the lake waters.
