Can't get enough Woodstock (in good hands with Bob and Sherry)!

5 of 5
We've stayed here two or three times, always in the winter. Bob and Sherry are great hosts, unfailingly warm and available. They have ideas of where to go/eat, spare sleds if you need them, found us a great babysitter several times, etc. They love their spot and it shows. The apartment is laid out nicely; even with a 1br we stayed last with our two kids (3yo and 1yo with no problems). Kitchen has everything you need. The town is really special and picturesque. Nice hiking options, good food to be found (particularly the farmer's market store). We've eaten several times at the Simon Pearce Restaurant, where the food is really nice (almost as nice as the setting - overlooking a damn). We even did a Burlington day trip one visit and it was a bit long but doable.

BEAUTIFUL HOME IN NICE LOCATION

5 of 5
We recently attended a destination wedding in Woodstock and decided to rent a home instead of going to a hotel as we had some other family members with us. The home is lovely, spacious, CLEAN and the beds were soooo comfortable. It is very quiet and nice area to have a morning walk. We were only 10 minutes from Woodstock which had some nifty shopping and dining places. The kitchen is well equipped and just beautiful. The owner Debbie was wonderful and very pleasant to work with. There was a little general store just a minute down the road which we walked to which was very quaint, which carried basic necessities (plus wine!) and even some gift items If you get a chance Simon Pierce Glass Company is a must see. This was our first trip to Vermont but it will not be our last. I would have loved to spend more time hiking, shopping and eating! We did manage to take some pics of the many covered bridges around the area. I would definitely recommend this home if you are staying in this area.

The Time of Our Lives

5 of 5
Our stay here at Curtis Hollow Farm was exquisite. The property boasts 100 acres of rolling fields and Robert Frost woods that climb to a roaring waterfall tucked away in a very special place. My kids and their friends maintained an ongoing doubles tennis tournament. While two teams played a match, the others enjoyed the sandy beach at the swimming pond. We all loved the evening when dark brought the brilliant starry sky and hundreds of fireflies defined the breadth of the fields. We had robust camp fires that crackled and spit sparks at the bare legs gathered around it. The house is gorgeous and vast with a huge living room for big gatherings yet offers discreet privacy anytime if needed. We played golf at Killington, went to Billings Farm, enjoyed antiquing everywhere, shopped and ate at the Simon Pearce Glass Factory, crossed the covered bridges of Woodstock and all and all had the time of our lives.
