BEAUTIFUL HOME IN NICE LOCATION

5 of 5
We recently attended a destination wedding in Woodstock and decided to rent a home instead of going to a hotel as we had some other family members with us. The home is lovely, spacious, CLEAN and the beds were soooo comfortable. It is very quiet and nice area to have a morning walk. We were only 10 minutes from Woodstock which had some nifty shopping and dining places. The kitchen is well equipped and just beautiful. The owner Debbie was wonderful and very pleasant to work with. There was a little general store just a minute down the road which we walked to which was very quaint, which carried basic necessities (plus wine!) and even some gift items If you get a chance Simon Pierce Glass Company is a must see. This was our first trip to Vermont but it will not be our last. I would have loved to spend more time hiking, shopping and eating! We did manage to take some pics of the many covered bridges around the area. I would definitely recommend this home if you are staying in this area.

Spectacular, setting & accommodations were perfect

5 of 5
From the moment we got there and viewed the dock on the lake from the screened in porch and wrap around deck, we knew we were in for a treat. The house was more then what we had expected. Not only was the living area immaculate and modern, our host had everything that would be needed to make our stay pleasant. Anything that we forgot to bring Thosmas had it covered, from the kitchen utensils to the games & puzzles & books in the porch there was enough to keep everybody occupied. The bedrooms were more then accommodating. More then enough room for all our family members & guest to be very comfortable. From kayaking & canoeing on the lake to the late nights with a fire in the chiminea on the dock, our family was well occupied. Our guest and children are still asking when we can plan our next stay there. I would recommend this house to all my family & friends and in fact have done so on many occasions. Getting there was a breeze and the surrounding area has many attractions and little towns to visit. The nearby gorge is a view well worth seeing. Looking forward to making many more trips to Fairlee VT.

Peaceful Idyll

5 of 5
Our stay at the Barn in S. Woodstock was beautiful. Surprises? We could tell the barn would be beautiful from the photos on the web, but it was more beautiful than we expected. Dangled our feet in the Barn's creek, in the dark, under millions of stars that we can't see in brightly-lit Seattle. Vermont is beautiful almost everywhere we looked. We expected beauty (otherwise how could those Vermont calendars exist) but it's not just beautiful here and there, it's beautiful almost everywhere. No fast-food drive-thrus, SBUX, billboards, roadside trash, honking drivers (where are all the cross people?--guess they left and went to the city). S. Woodstock's general store is a very close walk--just across the road and couple houses down and you're there. In August a sign "Fresh corn and blueberries are here!" Enjoyed them both for dinner. Thanks Brigitte.
