The Point did not disappoint!

4 of 5
Rustic, enchanting and fun - those are the words to describe our vacay @ Barney Point. Like others noted, the house is a bit dated and lacks some modern amenities, but it's really nice otherwise and the owner Tim is easy to work with and permitted us to bring our dog. Best feature is the screened porch and the views. Worst feature is the house is loud (i.e. not many interior walls and no insulation).

great value

What a beautiful place to visit. My family and I had a wonderful experience. The views and area were perfect for some much needed time away. This house in particular was a great deal for the area and we'll definitely be back!

The Kranz Family

Wow the most amazing sunsets are enjoyable from inside the cottage, the deck or the beach! Sandy beach is not crowded at all / semi private and is a good swimming beach for all ages! Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere! The bay provides for excellent boating as it is sheltered compared to the broad lake and there are three other beaches as well as diving / jumping cliffs ( from like 5ft to 50ft ) near by :) ! The cottage is super close to everything. When we wanted a break from the beach we found the area had much to offer. A park is just down the street and very well equipped with everything from swings to a skate board park ( kids loved it ). Down town Burlington is just a few minutes drive and is worth the visit. The camp was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The owners, Tim and Cyndee, were a pleasure to deal with. We are looking forward to visiting again this year!
