Peaceful farmhouse near Ludlow

4 of 5
We stayed here with family on a beautiful autumn weekend. The house was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the views lovely. The kitchen had all the basics to cook a meal and there was plenty of space for everyone at the table. My boyfriend and I loved taking a walk up the hill in the mornings to pick raspberries, and an extra treat was having horses and sheep on the property. The owners were helpful and friendly. The house felt secluded but was easy to find and within a short drive to Ludlow and other towns with plenty of shops, restaurants, etc.. My only wish is that we could have stayed a bit longer. We would definitely consider renting this property again sometime.

Atelier Annex

5 of 5
We were lucky to spend three nights at the Atelier Annex this month and wish we could return on an annual basis! The barn apartment was perfect, and together with the surrounding forests and country roads, we decided to just explore the immediate area and not venture to other Vermont locations. Daily walks and cooking "at home" rather than going out to eat were especially pleasant after the first part of our trip, which included too much driving and changing accommodations each night. Although we had planned to go to the Vermont Country Store, we never made it there--but in retrospect our walk with our host and his dog Rothko in the nearby forest proved to be a much more meaningful experience! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will be visiting Vermont and Popple Dungeon Road again in the not-too-distant future. This is truly a special place.
