Great House

5 of 5
Stayed for a week with family here & loved every moment of it! The scenery is fantastic, the deck & views were amazing. The fishing was great & Vermont is now high on the list for return trips!! Fire & ice in Middlebury is a great great meal. Had a wonderful tour on carillon cruses. The house is roomy enough for all of us to have some space but able for all of us to have time together as well. The fire pit by the lake was very nice! We enjoyed our time here and would love to return.

Absolute Heaven on the Shores of Lake Champlain

5 of 5
Six of us rented the house for the weekend of our Middlebury College reunion, and we could not have been happier with our stay. The house is BEAUTIFUL inside and out, and is spacious enough that everyone had room to spread out & have privacy when they wanted, or hang out in the beautiful common spaces (sitting room, dining room, living room, vast yard) to visit with others. The kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans, dishes & glasses so we were able to cook meals there without any trouble. The house sits right across the street from Lake Champlain, so part of our stay was spent kayaking on the lake (bring your own boat), which was lovely. During the warmer part of the day we also could chill out in our beach chairs under the shade of the large trees on the property and read or talk, or even watch the action in the huge hawk nest that an enterprising bird created not far from the house. The property is clean and well maintained, and the owner offered to answer any questions we might have, though he provided us with so much good info that we didn't need to ask much. I would wholeheartedly recommend this rental to anyone wanting to spend time reconnecting with friends and family. We would definitely rent the property again.

Middlebury Area Romantically Hip Private Lakefront

5 of 5
This was the most amazing cottage rental we have ever done. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy, the water, the boat, the canoe, the sunsets, the breathe taking views, the laughs, the countless good night sleeps, the landlady and I could go on and on. We will definitely return next year and that is saying something for my husband who is generally not a cottage person. The water is great for swimming as long as you wear some water shoes, the fishing was great, bonfires on the beach memorable. The fact that you are renting somebody's home is such a plus and a really unique concept that we loved. I have never seen my dog so calm and relaxed with all the fresh air and swimming. Blissful!!! Vermont is beautiful and the people are so pleasant. We enjoyed several restaurants (The American Flatbread and Big Fatties in Burlington were two of our favourites) and the biggest selling point for my husband were the micro-breweries - the beer and the tours. Missing Vermont already!!
