Our Foliage Get Away in the Northeast Kingdom

5 of 5
My husband and I spent a week at this very nice country home in Barton, for our annual foliage vacation. Gail was very accessible and helpful from the very beginning of our interest in the home. I had several questions, that I needed answered before we could make our decision to rent, and Gail always got back to me very quickly to answer my questions. My husband and I found the house very comfortable and it had everything we needed, plenty of towels, hot water, kitchen accessories, wi fi worked well, all of which I cannot say for some other properties we have rented. Gail was available to us throughout our stay. She also had a personal greeting, on the dry erase board that greeted us, just inside the door, as well as an apple crisp and Vermont cheese, among other goodies, in the refrigerator. I would recommend this property for families, as there is plenty of space for children to play and make noise, as well as just for adults who like to get away from the hustle and bustle and have some quiet. Very nice view of the mountains, also, and very close to I91 to get to other parts of Vermont. A nice grocery store and two restaurants for breakfast/lunch all within a 5 minute drive, also.

A One of A Kind Romantic Getaway

5 of 5
My husband and I were in need of a bit of seclusion and serenity. We both love the outdoors and all it has to offer. The cabin and it's surrounding wilderness offered exactly what we were searching for. After hiking Mt. Wheeler, wandering through the silence of the woods and taking in the breathtaking natural beauty of the nearby pond and lake we both felt a deep sense of tranquility. This feeling was further enhanced by the serenity of finding a spot in the woods and simply allowing your senses to take in what they will. The rejuvenating effect of our stay was much more than we could have hoped for ! I would encourage anyone in search of true solitude with all the creature comforts to venture off the beaten path and plan a stay at the cabin. The experiences you create will be forever imprinted on your soul!
