A fabulous time by all

5 of 5
We couldn't have picked a better home and location! Heidi's home is so warm and inviting, as is Heidi herself! The house had everything we were looking for and more. Our idea for this family vacation was to get away from it all and have the kids experience some of the country life, farms and local food. We got it all and then some! First off, the house has everything you need; A well stocked kitchen (we cooked local food every day), comfortable bedrooms, a warm family room with that great wood burning stove, awesome sledding hills and a beautiful woodsy location... I can keep going! If you are looking for local fresh food, you have everything you need just a few steps away... Many of the local farms are on the main road down from the house, where we were able to visit and purchase eggs, meat, poultry and fresh maple syrup. The Woodstock Farmers Market is not too far as well, and there you can get fish, fruits, veggies and many other staples. Although it was still early in the spring season and some things were closed (like Billings Farm), we still managed to keep the kids occupied by visiting other local farms, museums, VINS, maple sugaring, and doing lots of sledding! The back of the house has an awesome hill and when it snowed, the driveway was even better! We had a memorable experience, and are already talking about going back!

Beyond every expectation of Vermont

5 of 5
I cannot say enough about this beautiful home; I say "home" because it is so much more than a house! Tim and Sue Bradley have obviously put their heart and souls into this property from all of the quaint knick-knacks and gorgeous photography to the beautiful decor and the MOOSE! The picture windows set up a beautiful looking glass for watching the wildlife while enjoying a cup of something warm and cuddling fireside under a cozy blanket. I could only imagine watching the wildflowers bloom out by the private pond in the summer! I have never had such a cozy cabin feeling from such a huge property but each room is intimate and inviting and the wood burning stove, the wood floors and gorgeous beams add to that warm feel. The apartment downstairs with the huge fireplace adds to the romantic getaway feeling. Every amenity is thought of and provided and if you are in need of a delicious meal or a bottle of wine, the Barnard General Store right down the road can provide you with whatever you want. Such a hometown feel, having the locals chat by the stove in the store while you watch your breakfast being made to order! My weekend was everything your imagination conjures up when thinking of a Vermont getaway. If you are a couple or a large group, this home will welcome you like it's your own. I cannot wait to return....

Home for family reunion

5 of 5
We were here for Vermont's "stick season" and really enjoyed our stay in this property. The owners were helpful and the house easily accommodated our party of 4 adults and a child. The kitchen was especially well stocked and easy to use. One note is we had intended to give the master bedroom loft to my father but the spiral staircase was too steep for him to manage comfortably.
