Wonderful Family Memories! Perfect Vacation Rental. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent......

5 of 5
I have to first say this review is way too late in coming and I am so sorry for the delay! I just revisited VRBO today to look for this house again and realized I should have written a review long before now. A few years ago our son in law was deployed to Afghanistan thankfully he was lucky enough to return home to us and serve a second tour last year. He is now preparing for a third tour next year. While he was deployed during his first tour we told him when he got back we would take him anywhere he wanted to go for a little relaxation with the family when he got home. This gave him something to look forward to. He's a wonderful young man and so deserved a vacation when he returned home and we wanted to do something just for him, all he asked for was some cold beers and to do some fishing. So we thought lake Champlain, is the place to visit. Rob and Robert were unbelievably accommodating to our family even offering us to tag on a couple extra days at the end of the week since they had nobody arriving the following week. It was fantastic. When we arrived at the house, we felt so welcomed, a couple bottles of wine and some goodies were on the table for us and the house was so comfortable it was like being at home. The house was fully equipped with everything you could think of or possibly ask for right down to all the baking equipment to make Dan's favorite key lime pie. We spent a week there, drinking, eating, lighting the fire pit, fishing, laughing and generally relaxing and making happy family memories. The beds were so comfortable, the house was impeccably clean well furnished and inviting!!! The reason I was prompted to write this is our kids are coming home for a visit to see us here in NJ for two weeks and Dan has requested if we can revisit Vermont and this house for a few days, he had such a great time. I would highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of visiting lake Champlain to book this home. For many many years we have renting vacation homes all over the world and this one is in our Top 3 for location comfort and a good time. Plus the owners while absent where wonderfully accommodating! Thank you Rob and Robert, I will be in touch with you soon to book another week with you. Regards, The Douglass Family.

Great Place to Stay!

5 of 5
Very impressed with the well stocked house. We were 4 couples, staying in the house and we were in VT for a wedding in St. Albans and stayed for a few extra days to enjoy the scenery. The house was clean and well stocked. Only complaint was the occasional cold burst of water that someone would receive if they were taking a shower and others were washing dishes or doing a load of laundry. We learned to limit hot water use when someone was taking a shower. I would highly recommend this place to others. We took scenic drives on Rt. 2 and went around to New York and traveled south along the lake and took the ferry back over to the lake islands in VT. We visited Snow Farms Winery in South Hero, VT. We had friends in Fairfax that took us to Snugglers Notch and Stow, VT for a day. Beautiful scenery and lots to do in that area. Thanks for letting us enjoy this wonderful house while were in Vermont.

So beautiful and paceful place

4 of 5
We needed a time for our family to get together away from the city life. We found this place and Jackie was so special that made this work; I am so thankfull that this really happened. I cannot describe and thank enough as the time we lived there was one of the best I will remember. All about the house, it farm look, the details in every room and specially the lake were fabulose. It as close as you want from other activities if that is what you want, but far enough from day to day life. I am looking forward for a next time there. It is a place where you cannot do anything but love it. Clean house, clean bathrooms, different layout, very family oriented.
