Amazing trip and Great House

5 of 5
The house and the location were great. We arrived at 2A in the morning and the house was ready for us when we arrived. The location is truly amazing tucked right under an amazing hillside in a remote neighborhood of high end homes. The location was ideal for us to visit Zion Park daily for our hikes. The town nearby had a grocery store which was very convenient. The Capt and Kathryn delivered cookies at our doorstep on day one and dropped by on day two to say hello and check if we needed anything. They are delightful and have an interesting background and we truly enjoyed the conversation. I would highly recommend this house. We hike quite a bit and the area is one of our favorite places we have ever been. Randall and Andrea

Lovely home, lovely family

5 of 5
The owner greeted us warmly (with snacks even!) and gave a brief but very thorough tour of his spacious and comfortable home. The weather was cool and rainy for much of our stay, so we spent quite a bit of time indoors and found it to be very pleasant. The owner was also available by telephone if we had any questions, but everything went smoothly, so we never had to call. The house features a very nice home theater with a large selection of movies. The kitchen is large and very usable, and we found that preparing meals there was very easy, which is important when you have four toddlers. There are LOTS of bedrooms, and they all looked to be very comfortable, and nobody seemed to be able to hear the kids when they were up running around playing in the early morning. The house also features a work-out area and a sauna, but we didn't end up using any of those amenities, although they appeared to be clean and well maintained. When the weather permitted, we went to Zion for a hike and found it to be quite convenient. Overall, the property is very attractive and if we found ourselves in Zion again, we would absolutely consider staying here again.

Great Place to Stay in Zion

5 of 5
If you're planning on going to Zion, this is the place to stay. The house was awesome. It truly is a place that is 'off the grid' but has all the modern amenities. It was comfortable, had amazing views from every window, and was super close to hiking trails. We got there when it was starting to get dark and woke up in the morning to amazing views. Hank was knowledgable about the park and gave us a bunch of suggestions about things to do and see. He was also very welcoming when we arrived, making sure we had everything we needed. You can easily drive north out of their driveway further into the park and get access to many trails, away from the crowds, within minutes. Or if you want to go to the main entrance, it's only about a 10-15 minute drive. Lastly, do not be afraid of Zion in the winter. We were very lucky to have perfect weather, but even if the weather wasn't great, there was still plenty to do.
