Prepare for walking

4 of 5
This condo is very nice, though near the end of the hallway in the Bison building which is a bit of a hike from skier services/exit to the slopes if you are there for skiing. This complex of buildings does require frequent floor changes to get from one building to another, so if you have difficulty walking, you may want a unit closer to the action. Keep a map of the complex with you until you get oriented to the layout. The unit is managed by Park City Vacation Rentals via iTrip. Since this is a privately-owned unit, make sure you have the most up-to-date door lock code - the resort staff will not be able to let you into the room if you have a code problem. The WiFi strength is poor, so we had to use our cellular data plan to use the Internet. Overall the kitchen utensils are adequate, but could not locate a wine opener. Grab your groceries at Walmart just after you get off I-80 if you want to save some bucks. We did not use the Westgate shuttle bus as we had a rental car (plenty of self-parking available). You do need to plan ahead to reserve a time on the shuttle - it fills up quickly in the evenings for trips to Park City. If you are renting skis, Breeze ski rentals about a quarter mile on your left down valley from the Canyons entrance is the place to go - well-maintained equipment and much cheaper than renting at the resort base. Overall excellent amenities at this resort and we had a relaxing trip.

Silverado Lodge, Park City Utah - Outstanding vacation spot

5 of 5
This was our first VRBO experience and, as such, we were more than a little nervous . Silly us ! The place was spectacular. It overlooks the pool and hot tub with beautiful mountain views and a large private patio. It had 3 full bathrooms for the 2 nice-sized bedrooms. Linens, etc were very comfortable as were the furnishings. It is in a great location, near the slopes and shopping and restaurants. The apartment itself is quiet, away from the elevators, etc. The owners were very accomodating and responsive to our needs. When we first arrived, one of the toilets did not work. One phone call to the owner resulted in a handyman arriving within minutes and the problem was immediately fixed. Also, since we had a late afternoon departure flight, we asked for a later checkout and , since no one was arriving that day for the apartment, we were granted a check out time that allowed the 4 of us to stay until we needed to head to the airport. Overall, we were extremely pleased with this rental and would stay here again on future visits to Park City !

Pure paradise, once we got there

5 of 5
If you’re unfamiliar with the area, I would give yourself an extra 15 minutes to navigate your way up to the cabin. The roads are marked well enough … just had to check the map a handful of times to make sure I was heading up the right road. The kids got to see some deer and a wild turkey, so they didn’t notice. But I am glad we stocked up on groceries beforehand, so we didn’t have to make any additional trips up and down the mountain. The cabin itself was incredible. We felt like celebrities, but somehow none of it seemed ridiculous or out of place for the setting. It was a very inspiring trip for everyone.
