Great Family Lodge

5 of 5
My family of five stayed here on a ski holiday (there is enough room for two families). The cabin was a fantastic retreat after a hard day on the slopes. There is amble room for the entire family to find their own space to relax plus enough games to entertain the children for hours. The cabin is very private and has all the utilities required to make your stay comfortable. Kurt and VaLayne are great hosts. They gave us some invaluable tips on ways we could truly enjoy our holiday. I highly recommend this Cabin as a place to stay to enjoy your holiday!

Great Vacation Home!

5 of 5
The Woods Creek Lodge is a wonderful family retreat. It is nestled in the mountains and sits on 23 beautiful acres with views from every angle. The home is large and provides a lot of space for large groups to enjoy time together and also privacy when needed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was functional (with plenty of necessities like pots/pans, spices and dishes), the bathrooms and closets were spacious and the common living space was large but cozy. It did not snow much while we were there but there was plenty of snow on the ground. The road to the house was completely clear and the property manager called while we were there to make sure they did not need to provide snow removal service for us. The only complaint that I have was that the house was quite a drive to anything. While there was a grocery store and a couple of restaurants within a 10 minute drive, all ski resorts and downtown Salt Lake was a 60 minute drive. There was one road (Hwy 66) that was closed on the south end. If this road had been open, it would have provided access to these destinations in about 30 minutes. From what I understand, the road is not normally closed in winter but I am not sure. If it had been open, it would have made a big difference for us. Don't get me wrong... the solitute was nice and the distance actually made us decide to stay at the cabin all day a couple of days. This provided the adults the ability to get some much needed R&R and allowed the kids the opportunity to play and do whatever they wanted to do all day. All in all... I would give it a 9 out of a 10 (only because of the driving distance). The house was perfect.
