Our family of 10 stayed here for my mother's 80th birthday. What a fantastic find! Gayle left us bacon, eggs, OJ, milk and bread for breakfast and s'more fixings for the kids. This home town home is on the end of the unit with a quiet neighbor on the other side. We even managed to carefully fit 3 vehicles into the garage.
The kitchen and home itself was stocked with thoughtful touches, including spices, pantry items, paper goods, ziplock, popsicles in the freezer, robes, extra blankets, pillows, etc. If you want to fondue or make sushi, Gayle has even provided items to assist you with that! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub/fire ring and plethora of board games and DVDs.
We did have a little trouble running the TV, cable, DVD player and surround sound but did eventually figure it out. The only thing I didn't find were dishwashing gloves for the kitchen. The kids mentioned that the beds in the bunk bed room were a hard and a little uncomfortable, but tolerable. We told Gayle that the plastic egg container was accidentally put in the dishwasher and it was ruined. She told us the nice thing about booking through HomeAway -- you have insurance which covers accidental damage and not to worry about it.
As a added surprise, we used the clubhouse theater to play the slide show we put together for my mom. What a perfect and fun way to showcase 80 years of memories.
All in all it was a wonderful weekend and we will certainly be keeping this town home in mind for future visits.
Thank you, Gayle!!!
