Moose Hollow is the place to be!

5 of 5
Moose Hollow was a hit with my family. The kids played with their cousins and very seldom were they on their phone (kids ranged from 10 to 18). This was a major success because spending time with family was my main goal and everyone did that. The kids said this was the best place they have been to that had up to date games they love to play. The adults stated this was the best away from home holiday they ever had and the views were breathtaking! I am beyond ecstatic to hear the good news from all of my family. In addition to all the happy campers the place was clean and up to my standards of furniture and appliances. I felt like everything was dated to our current time vs looking and smelling over 10 years old. The only suggestion I would make is to leave at least one hair dryer on site and light up the driveway with solar lights. Recap: The Good: Plenty of room for the whole family to spread out and enjoy themselves. The Bad: Wish the sign was bigger and lights up with solar lights at night. Since some people came at night time it was hard for them to find the place,(note phone service may not work and the Marathon gas station did not allow my 70 year old parents to use their phone and the pay phone was not working outside of the gas station) The Ugly: we felt we left too early and next time we will have to stay longer.

Great Place to Decompress

5 of 5
This place was a great place to decompress. It was clean and the kitchen was well appointed for cooking. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the fact that we had to drive out to hiking trails. We tried to go to Dingmans Ferry Falls but the road was closed and no way back there. It would be helpful if the site listed when area like that are closed for the season and the season dates. All in all we had a nice 4 days of relaxation.

Best cabin ever!

5 of 5
We had the whole family with us, 12 adults and 3 toddlers, and we all had a great time at the Juniper Lodge. The play structure was great for the two year olds and the play room was a godsend! They loved playing with the toys and games. They even had rockin sockin robots! The kitchen was fantastic with all the supplies you need. We had some great meals and there was plenty of room around the dinning room table for all of us. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. You might want to bring fans during the summer as the upstairs bedrooms were pretty warm. Over all, this was the best cabin we've stayed at in the Tahoe/Truckee area. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated and we didn't want to leave! I can't say enough about Juniper Lodge. Tim, Jeans substitute, was informative and helpful. He even called me to tell me about Truckee nights street fair. My whole family had a great time and we definitely want to return next year.
