We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Vic made sure we were well accommodated. He stayed in touch with our ever changing schedule due to aircraft delays and was kind enough to meet us late in the evening when we finally arrived.
The beach is 2 minutes away .. literally and though you can't see it from the house, it's just down the street. The neighborhood is quiet, not busy and we enjoyed the walks through the area. The house is on the corner so expect some road traffic but it didn't bother us.
The house is next door to a church and charter school so there is some activity going on but we enjoyed it and we also enjoyed the walk a few blocks to the
Sweet Home Waimanalo Cafe and the Co-Op market that is next adjacent to the cafe (lots of locally grown products) Try the Peanut Butter smoothie at the cafe .. it was something we had every day! Walk up there (about 5 minutes) .. parking is minimal and always busy.
The house is small and although we were concerned in the beginning, it really fit us well .. we really only needed the bed and a place to freshen up and it was perfect for this. Don't expect a full blown kitchen .. it's got the basics, no stove and your sink is also for your restroom needs .. again, not a big deal for us at all. We were on the go constantly so it worked well for us. The bed was extremely comfy and the shower and big tub were awesome.
If you want a nice, well priced accommodation that is on the backdoor of one of the top beaches in the world .. this place is for you. Highly recommend for a couple or solo traveler ..
PS .. I did see a review that said don't expect space for your luggage .. we didn't find this to be an issue. We unpacked .. there is a place to hang what you need to (and believe me, we had lots) and a small dresser to put your things away. We placed our luggage along side the bed and had no problems. Don't worry about it .. room is there if you need it.
