February School Break Week

5 of 5
My family of three stayed at the farm house during the week of school vacation. We planned to ski, snowshoe, sleep late, and relax as a family. We were able to do all of it and much more for a memorable winter vacation. The farmhouse is designed with such comfort in mind that you sometimes find it hard to leave the house and are so happy to return after a day of skiing, shopping, or Kahuna Laguna. While the pictures of the property illustrate the care taken and style in which Linda & Jay decorate, the pictures do not show the thought that went into the design of the bedrooms and living spaces. They are much larger than I imagined and so easy to live in. They make great sense and have every amenity you could need. As a family of three and for a couple days, two families of three, we had more than enough room to be together and alone while all in the house at the same time. Thank you to Linda & Jay for being exceptional hosts. The welcome gifts were so unexpected. We had an amazing time and the house played a big part in the experience. We were so active this vacation that it was fabulous to have a special place to retire to in the evenings. My 7 year old son, who rarely cries, cried for a half hour when we left. He even played a song on his keyboard in tribute to the house on his way out the door. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay with upscale amenities while at the same time character, charm, warmth, fantastic attentive hosts, and great location.

Great family place

5 of 5
We had a great time staying at this farmhouse. Plenty of room for 2 grandparents, 2 adult sons and 3 granddaughters. It's a big house, so was a little drafty, but a sweater or sweatshirt took care of the chill. The house had everything we needed for cooking and bedding. A mixed blessing was the lack of cable/wi-fi as we couldn't watch what was happening with the blizzard back home, but the family gametime that resulted was well worth it. King Pine ski area and attractions were less than 10 minutes away. Barbara, the owner, was fantastic to work with and the location is absolutely beautiful.

A perfect winter retreat close to great skiing!

5 of 5
This house is truly amazing with a lot of character & charm. This is our 2nd winter renting this house for our annual VT ski trip. There is plenty of space for our group of 10 adults & 2 dogs. It is by far our favorite property we have rented in Vermont. The large open kitchen & dining room is great for cooking for large groups. We spend most of our time in there because the large dining table is great for gathering together to play games and relax after a long day of snowboarding or skiing. The woodburning stove in the kitchen adds a great heat & filling the house with a wonderful winter atmosphere. The addition of the hottub is great to relax and help sore muscles. The house is on a quiet country road surrounded by nothing but fields & wild life offering great privacy during your stay. The fenced in yard around the pool is wonderful for our two dogs to run around and play. The property is located just a few minutes off rt 4 which makes the 35 to 45 minute drive to Pico Mountain & Killington quick and easy even in snowy conditions. We would love to come back in the summer and enjoy everything else this property has to offer with the pool, large yard and river access. We would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a wonderful Vermont retreat vacation. Thank you Bryan for accommodating us in your wonderful family home and we are looking forward to returning again next year! Aaron & Lisa
