Fabulous Vacation

5 of 5
The house was easy to find with the direction provided. The path from the circular drive leads to a Koi pond by the front door. Keys were in a lock box and easily accessed. The home is high on the mountainside overlooking the beautiful pacific. We spent most of our time on the lanai and enjoyed watching the birds and whales breaching below. The weather was sunny, in the 80s every day with a beautiful breeze. A few mosquitoes at dusk, but nothing major. We watched the sunset over the ocean from the hot tub. The house itself is spacious and spotless. The pictures don't do it justice. There are two master suites with king beds, one upstairs and one downstairs. Both have huge bathrooms. There are two queen bedrooms with a shared bath, and a queen sofa bed in the den. We ate most of our meals on the lanai, where there is seating for 16. The kitchen is beautiful, although we did find there were a few tools missing that one might expect in a gourmet kitchen, such as a garlic press, Chef's knife, barbeque brush, and griddle. There is a media room with comfy recliners where we enjoyed watching the Patriots win the playoffs! There were beach towels and a lunch cooler provided. There is an additional guest room across the Koi pond if needed. The home is a bit out of the way (which is just the way we like it). It was about 40 minutes to Kailua Kona, 20 minutes to Waimea, 2 hours to Volcano, 10 minutes to Hapuna Beach. There is a small market close by, but better to do your main grocery shopping in Kona. There is so much to do on the Big Island. We went on a fishing charter, The beaches of course - Hapuna Beach and Waialea Bay Beach (Beach 69), Tide pools and sea turtles at Puako Beach, Pololu Valley lookout and hike down to black sand beach, Mauna Kea summit tour to see the observatories and stargazing - the skies are amazing!, snorkeling at Honaunau (Two Steps), shopping in Kailua, night snorkeling with manta rays (not to be missed!), Volcano National Park, Hiking Kilauea Iki, Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour over the volcano, Akaka Falls State Park, and Waipio Vally. And then of course, sitting on the lanai with a good book! Jenny & Mark were great were prompt with communication. We had a minor issue with the WiFi and they were easy to reach and very responsive. I would definitely recommend this home!

Perfect

5 of 5
This lovely home and cottage is exactly as described. The location could not be more perfect. We came with our family of 4 and my mother. It was so nice for my Mom to have her own quarters! We love food - not only did we find a stellar market 2 minutes away, but also a fresh seafood market and plenty of farm to table restaurants. Our children are young, so the park just behind the grocery could not have been more convenient. The house is completely equipped with all your needs and sunsets while hot tubing were a dream. We will definitely be back.

Great stay with family over Christmas

5 of 5
Our group of six adults and three children stayed here the week of Christmas and had a great time. The house looks even better than the pictures. We especially liked that the bedrooms are in separate wings, so a large group can comfortably stay here. The house is on a large, well maintained lot and is in a secluded spot within a safe neighborhood. We enjoyed how close it was to South Point casino, Silverton casino, and the Las Vegas strip. It is also within walking distance of a few restaurants and video poker bars. Jack and his property manager Jan were both easy to deal with and made the rental process seamless. I would recommend this house to anyone.
