Loved this apartment for our family with 3 kids. We arrived from the U.S. and had the perfect experience during our stay. Even though it is a small apartment it didn't feel tiny. The loft was a great addition and the kids loved having their own space up there. One of the boys slept on the pull out couch on the mail level and the other 2 were upstairs. The ladder with steps up to the top is kind of steep and I wouldn't recommend small kids using it without an adult's help. My youngest is 9 and he had zero problems going up and down. The apartment was extremely clean with a quaint feel. The location could not have been better. Even through the apartment has a small kitchen we never used it as just step out the doors there are loads of restaurants and take away options. There is also a small food market a few steps away. We loved being able to walk out the front door, turn right, and walk just two short blocks to be right in the center of everything. The tube is also in that same direction and only a few min. walk. Easy enough for us to use the tube to get from the airport with all of our luggage with zero issues.
The only thing tiny thing that took away from the ambiance and feel of the apartment was the outer stairwell to get up the 3 easy flights to our apartment had well worn carpeting. It really needed to be replaced but that is a tiny minor complaint and something that the individual apartment has no control over. You will probably hear a tad of street noise in the middle of the night but the windows have triple panes. It isn't horrible and not constant but a very easy trade off to get such a prime affordable location.
The apartment is just a few blocks away from the theater district (which is also close to Uber London's office). We had no plans to see a play but Daniel Radcliffe happened to be performing and on a whim we saw his performance which was a highlight of the trip. We also ran into Jay Leno in an empty alley by a bookstore just a few blocks away. He was super friendly and a fun added treat to the vacation.
The ladies at Uber London are wonderful and very pleasant to work with. They even let us store our luggage at their office while we were waiting for the apartment to be ready that afternoon.
Overall, we had the most incredible vacation and I would not have changed one single thing. I was so happy I discovered Uber London and this particular apartment as it was a big reason why our vacation was one of the trips of a lifetime.
