My wife and I had a very pleasant stay

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at Caroline's apartment from the 11th to the 15th of September. The building is very well maintained and the staff were always gracious. The apartment is clean, bright and very well furnished. As others have mentioned it's a short walk to the tube, there is a Starbucks almost directly across from the building and a nice small grocery store just a short walk away. In addition, there is a bus stop minutes from the building that goes to the tube station as well as the Victoria and Albert Museum in one direction and Sloan Square (lots of shops) in the other. The area has many good restaurants with several near the tube station. We did the tube from Heathrow and the bus to the apartment. We purchased Oyster cards and that was a wise decision. All in all just a lovely place to stay and we look forward to going back.

Best Location for our London Adventure

4 of 5
Who doesn't want to stay in the swanky part of London? This was the perfect location for our family during our Spring Break trip. The flat was a great set up for our family of 4 including 2 teen sons. They each chose their room. It was nice to have space to spread out and relax. Our greeter, Helen, couldn't have been more cheerful and helpful when we arrived a little late in the evening from Copenhagen. She filled us in on everything we needed to know. The location is perfect. We spent Saturday morning wandering the Portobello Road Market which is just a couple of blocks away. There's a grocery store with friendly staff just a few blocks the other direction. We felt completely safe walking there quite late our first night. The Tube Station is about a 10 minute walk but it's a walk full of fun shops, beautiful homes and great places to eat so it may take you longer! The only downside was the neighbors we shared the building with - which can't be controlled. Our first night and day were very quiet, but then they must have returned late Sunday night. Our last couple of days we had at least one time where it sounded like they were dragging furniture around their flat while performing River Dance in tap shoes. The next night they had their music on quite late at night. I suggest some earplugs for night time. I assume this is just the nature of these old row houses and the way they have been broken up in to flats. We called it our "unique London experience". It didn't ruin the stay but I it was a annoyance after a long day of sight-seeing. I think we got even when we took showers at 4:30 the morning we left. The shower pump makes a lot of noise. :-)

Great Stay in London

5 of 5
I am sorry to be writing this review so late. The year has gotten away from me! We had a great time staying in this flat. It was our first stop on our European vacation and it was a great place to spread out in while dealing with jet lag. We texted Zoe when we got on the tube at Heathrow and she was at the flat when got there. We loved how close it is to a great tube line that is convenient for many popular attractions. We also enjoyed how convenient the grocery store was for picking up food on our way home from sightseeing. The flat is comfortable, pleasant and clean. Zoe was very good to us. I would definitely stay in this flat again.
