Great setting overlooking the canal

4 of 5
We really enjoyed our one-week stay in this apartment. We loved having the balcony overlooking the canal. In the mornings we could watch commuters on the towpath heading towards work. At other times, the canal provided a more recreational scene. The apartment in very quiet. You can’t hear the neighbors through the concrete walls. The flat has a large living area. It felt like a luxurious amount of space for the two of us. The bedroom has a good-sized closet. If you like being a little bit off the beaten (tourist) track, the apartment makes a good base for sightseeing. If you stay here, I suggest you learn how to take advantage of the bus service. The Angel and Old Street tube stops are about three-quarters of a mile away. The Windsor Terrace bus stop is much closer and has frequent service. If we were headed south, we would take the 43, 205, or 214 bus to Old Street. If we were headed west, we would take the 205 or 214 bus to Kings Cross. We enjoyed our meal at the Narrow Boat Pub, which you can see from the balcony. We found some nice Italian restaurants along Upper Street, a little further away.
